Terms of Service
Last updated: February 27, 2026
These Terms of Service are provided in English only for legal clarity and consistency.
1. Introduction
Welcome to ServerPrism. We believe in operating fairly and transparently — these terms exist to protect both you and us, and we commit to always treating our clients with fairness and respect.
By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.
These terms apply to all users of our game server hosting platform, including customers, visitors, and anyone who accesses the services.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with third parties.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
Our services are provided for legitimate game server hosting purposes. You agree not to use our services to:
- Host, distribute, or link to any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
- Run any software that facilitates DDoS attacks, botnets, crypto mining, or other malicious activity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' servers
- Resell or redistribute our services without prior written authorization
- Intentionally overload shared resources in a way that degrades service for other users
- Use our servers as general-purpose file storage, backup solutions, or for purposes unrelated to game server hosting
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any service that violates this acceptable use policy, with or without notice depending on severity.
4. Storage Policy
Our plans include unmetered storage, which means we do not impose a hard disk space cap. However, unmetered does not mean unlimited or unrestricted. Storage is subject to the following fair-use guidelines:
Soft Limit
Each server is assigned an initial soft storage limit based on its plan. This is not a hard cap — if you genuinely need more space for your server, you can request a limit increase through our support team, and we will review and accommodate reasonable requests.
Server-Related Files Only
All stored files must be directly related to operating your game server. This includes server software, plugins, mods, configuration files, world data, and logs. Storage may not be used for:
- Personal file backups, media archives, or other non-server content
- Distribution of files unrelated to the hosted game server
- Hosting downloads, websites, or other services from the storage space
No Overuse of Pre-Generation
While world pre-generation (pregen) tools are allowed for reasonable use, excessive pre-generation that results in disproportionately large world files is not permitted. For example, pre-generating thousands of chunks far beyond what your player base will realistically explore constitutes overuse.
If you need a large pre-generated world, contact support before running the pregen so we can accommodate your use case appropriately.
Storage-Heavy Plugins
Plugins that log or cache large amounts of data — such as CoreProtect, Dynmap, and similar tools — are allowed, but must be configured responsibly. Leaving these plugins on default settings with no data retention limits can cause storage usage to grow rapidly and disproportionately.
You are expected to:
- Set reasonable data retention / purge intervals (e.g. CoreProtect's
/co purgeor its config-based auto-purge) - Limit Dynmap render resolution and map scope to what your players actually use
- Regularly review and clean up log databases that are no longer needed
If a plugin's data grows beyond reasonable use, we will contact you to discuss reducing it. Persistent excessive storage consumption from unconfigured logging plugins may be treated as a fair-use violation.
Enforcement
If your storage usage is flagged as exceeding fair use, we will reach out to you first. You will be given a reasonable timeframe to reduce usage or discuss your needs with our team. We do not delete data without prior notice except in cases of clear policy violations (e.g. illegal content).
5. Payments & Billing
Services are billed according to the plan selected at checkout. Payment is due at the start of each billing cycle.
If an invoice is not paid by its due date, your services may be suspended. Suspended services that remain unpaid may be terminated and data may be permanently deleted after a grace period.
All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
6. Refund Policy
We offer a refund within the first 72 hours of your initial purchase if you are not satisfied with the service. Refund requests must be submitted through our support channels.
Refunds are not available for renewal payments, upgrades, or services that have been suspended or terminated due to a violation of these terms.
7. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high uptime for all services. However, we do not guarantee 100% availability. Scheduled maintenance, hardware failures, and other circumstances beyond our control may result in temporary downtime.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned maintenance that may affect your services.
Our platform may display a variety of server types, versions, and modpacks available for installation. While we aim to support as many options as possible, we do not guarantee that every listed type or version will install or function correctly in all cases. Certain software may have upstream compatibility issues, require specific configurations, or fail to install due to factors outside our control. If you encounter an installation issue, please contact our support team and we will do our best to assist you.
8. Data & Backups
While we may provide automated backup features, you are ultimately responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data. We are not liable for any data loss.
Both user-initiated and automated system backups are designed to preserve your essential server data, including world files, configurations, save data, and installed mods or plugins. To optimize backup performance and storage efficiency, certain file types that can be reinstalled, regenerated, or redownloaded are automatically excluded from backups. This includes, but is not limited to: log files, temporary files, caches, game engine binaries, client-side media assets, compressed archives, executables, package manager output, and content managed by Steam or SteamCMD.
A detailed list of excluded file patterns is available on the Backups tab within your server management panel. By using our backup services, you acknowledge that these exclusions are in place and that it is your responsibility to independently back up any excluded files you consider critical.
Upon service termination, your data may be permanently deleted. We recommend downloading all important files before canceling your service.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the specific service in question during the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Third-Party Software & Services
Our platform provides hosting infrastructure for a wide range of software, including but not limited to game servers, Discord bots, voice servers, developer tools, monitoring services, and other applications. Many of these are third-party open-source projects not developed or maintained by ServerPrism.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of any software hosted on our platform complies with the applicable terms of service, licenses, and laws — including the terms of any third-party platforms your hosted software interacts with (e.g. Discord, YouTube, Spotify, Twitch, TeamSpeak, etc.).
Without limitation, this includes:
- Compliance with Discord's Terms of Service and Developer Policy when running bots or related software
- Compliance with streaming platform terms when running music bots or audio streaming software that accesses content from YouTube, Spotify, or similar services
- Obtaining any required licenses for voice server software (e.g. TeamSpeak licensing requirements)
- Properly configuring authentication and access controls for publicly exposed services such as databases, code editors, and file storage
ServerPrism does not endorse, warrant, or assume any responsibility for third-party software made available through our platform. We provide the infrastructure to run it — how you use it is your responsibility.
If we receive a valid complaint or takedown request related to software running on your server, we may be required to suspend or terminate the affected service.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or through a notice on our website. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Contact
If you have any questions about these terms or need to discuss a storage limit increase, please reach out to us through our support channels or submit a ticket through your dashboard.
